Ear seeds are small seeds placed on points of the outer ear and held with a light adhesive. At Virtue TCM, every session is done by a registered TCM practitioner and starts with a short check-in on your sleep, digestion and tension, so the points match how you actually are this week.
耳穴貼是把細小的籽貼在耳朵特定穴位上，用輕薄的貼布固定。在醫道閣，每次都由註冊中醫師操作，先了解你最近的睡眠、消化與緊繃狀態，再決定貼哪些穴位。

What they are
是什麼
Ear seeds — also called ear seeding, ear acupressure or auricular seeds — are a non-needle form of ear acupuncture. Traditionally they are vaccaria seeds (王不留行籽), though small metal or ceramic beads are also used.
耳穴貼又稱耳穴壓豆，是不用針的耳穴療法。傳統上用王不留行籽，也有使用細小的金屬珠或陶瓷珠。
How they are used
怎麼用
In TCM the ear is read as a map of the whole body, and gentle pressure on specific points is used to support balance between visits. Nothing pierces the skin. You press the seeds yourself during the day, and they usually stay on for 3 to 5 days.
中醫把耳朵看作全身的縮影，輕壓特定耳穴，用來幫助身體在兩次就診之間保持平衡。過程不入皮膚，貼上後可以自己按壓，一般保留 3 至 5 天。

About ear seeding
Do ear seeds hurt?耳穴貼會痛嗎？
No. There are no needles. You may feel mild pressure or tenderness when pressing a point, which is normal.
不會。過程不用針。按壓時可能有輕微的壓感或酸痛，這是正常的。
How long do ear seeds stay on?可以貼多久？
Usually 3 to 5 days. Remove them earlier if the skin feels itchy or irritated.
一般 3 至 5 天。如果皮膚發癢或不適，請提早撕下。
How often should I press them?要怎樣按壓？
Your practitioner will show you during the session and note it on your aftercare card.

Can I shower with ear seeds on?貼著可以洗澡嗎？
Yes. Pat the ear dry afterwards and avoid rubbing.

Who should avoid ear seeds?哪些人不適合？
People with broken or irritated skin on the ear, adhesive allergies or very sensitive skin. If you are pregnant, tell your practitioner first so the points can be chosen accordingly.
耳朵皮膚有傷口或發炎、對膠布過敏，或皮膚非常敏感的人。懷孕中請先告訴醫師，以便調整選穴。
Can I buy ear seeds and put them on myself?可以自己買來貼嗎？
You can, but point selection matters. A practitioner can choose and place the points for you, then show you how to continue at home.
