Acupuncture at Virtue TCM uses fine, single-use needles at points chosen after a TCM consultation — pulse, tongue and how you move. Needles usually stay in for about 20 minutes.

What It Is · 這是什麼
Two thousand years old,
and still being refined.
Fine needles at specific points, used in Chinese medicine for over two thousand years. What it does is not mysterious: it works with the body's own regulation, and gives the nervous system a chance to settle.

are not always the same place

Sometimes the needle goes to the opposite side of the body — a left shoulder treated through the right, a right knee through the left. It is called contralateral needling 巨刺法, and it appears in the Huangdi Neijing, written over two thousand years ago.
有時候針會下在身體的另一側 —— 左肩的問題從右邊處理，右膝的問題從左邊入手。這叫巨刺法，出自兩千多年前的《黃帝內經》。
The body works as a whole,
so the answer is not always where it hurts.

Does it hurt?
會痛嗎？
The needles are about the width of a hair — most people feel the insertion less than a blood test. What you may feel afterwards is a dull heaviness or warmth around the point. That sensation is expected.
針大約一根頭髮的粗細，多數人覺得比抽血還輕。之後穴位附近可能會有痠、重或溫熱的感覺，這是正常的。
How much does acupuncture cost in KL?
在 KL 針灸大概多少錢？
A first consultation at Virtue TCM is RM 60–100. Acupuncture is charged separately, from RM 120 per session, and the practitioner explains costs before anything is done.
醫道閣的初診問診費為 RM 60–100。針灸另計，每次 RM 120 起，醫師會在開始前先說明費用。
How many sessions?
需要做幾次？
It depends on how long the problem has been there. Something recent may shift in a few sessions; something carried for years takes longer. We review as we go, rather than selling a fixed number upfront. Between sessions, many patients use ear seeds so they can keep pressing the points at home.
要看問題存在多久。剛出現的可能幾次就有變化；拖了很多年的需要比較久。我們邊做邊評估，不會一開始就要你買固定次數。 兩次針灸之間，很多人會貼耳穴貼，回家後也可以繼續按壓。
How is this different from dry needling?
跟乾針有什麼不同？
Dry needling targets a tight muscle directly. Acupuncture works from a diagnosis — the point may be nowhere near where it hurts, because the reasoning starts from the whole picture.
乾針直接處理緊繃的肌肉。針灸是從辨證出發 —— 下針的位置可能離痛的地方很遠，因為判斷是從整體開始的。
Are the needles single-use?
針是一次性的嗎？
Yes. We use sterile, single-use needles, opened in front of you and disposed of after the session.
是。我們使用無菌的一次性針具，當面拆封，療程結束後丟棄。
Can I have acupuncture during pregnancy?
懷孕期間可以針灸嗎？
It depends on your stage of pregnancy and your health, which is why we always start with a consultation. Please tell us how many weeks pregnant you are. Some points and techniques are avoided during pregnancy. Keep your O&G informed.
要看懷孕週數與身體狀況，所以一定先問診。請告訴我們懷孕幾週。懷孕期間部分穴位與手法會避開。也請讓你的婦產科醫生知道。
What should I wear?
要穿什麼？
Loose clothing that can roll up to the elbow and knee. Eat something light beforehand — not a full meal, not on an empty stomach.
穿能捲到手肘和膝蓋的寬鬆衣服。來之前吃一點東西 —— 不要太飽，也不要空腹。
