How We Look at the Face · 我們怎麼看臉
The face is read alongside the rest of you.
臉，跟整個人一起看。
In Chinese medicine the face is not treated on its own. How you sleep, digest and carry stress tends to show there — so each session starts with a few questions, and a look at your tongue and pulse.
在中醫裡，臉不會被單獨處理。睡眠、消化、壓力，往往都會反映在臉上 —— 所以每次療程都會先問幾個問題，看舌、把脈。
On the face
面部
Fine needles along the jaw, cheeks, brow and forehead — where tension tends to sit. They are far finer than the needles used for injections or blood tests.
極細的針沿著下顎、臉頰、眉骨與額頭下針 —— 這些是緊繃常累積的地方。針比打針、抽血用的細很多。
With the body
身體
Often a few points on the hands, arms or legs as well, chosen from what the consultation shows. Face and body are worked on in the same session.
通常也會在手、手臂或腿上取幾個穴位，依問診看到的情況選擇。面部與身體在同一次療程裡一起做。

Cleanse · 清潔
The face is cleansed, and make-up removed if you are wearing any.

Needles · 下針
Fine single-use needles are placed. Most people feel a small pinch at some points and nothing at others.
放入極細的一次性針具。多數人在某些穴位會有輕微刺感，有些則幾乎沒感覺。
Rest · 留針休息
The needles stay in for about 20 minutes while you lie back. Many people doze off.
針留約 20 分鐘，你只需要躺著休息，很多人會睡著。
Finish · 起針
Needles are removed and the skin is checked. You can go straight back to your day.

- You already have acupuncture and would like to include the face.本來就有在做針灸，想把面部也一起照顧。

- Cosmetic injectables, laser or a peel in recent weeks — your practitioner will advise how long to wait.最近幾週做過醫美注射、雷射或煥膚 —— 醫師會告訴你要等多久。
- Pregnancy — some points are avoided. Please tell us when you book.懷孕 —— 有些穴位需要避開，預約時請先告訴我們。
- Blood thinners or a bleeding disorder — bruising is more likely.正在服用抗凝血藥，或有凝血問題 —— 比較容易瘀青。
- Active breakouts, eczema, sunburn or broken skin on the face.臉上有正在發炎的痘痘、濕疹、曬傷或傷口。
- A strong fear of needles — facial gua sha may be a better place to start.非常怕針 —— 可以先從面部刮痧開始。
See a doctor first · 先看醫生
Sudden drooping, numbness or weakness on one side of the face needs urgent medical care — please go to a hospital first. A new or changing mole or skin growth should be checked by a doctor before any facial treatment.
臉的一側突然下垂、麻木或無力，需要立即就醫 —— 請先到醫院。新長出或有變化的痣、皮膚增生，做任何面部療程之前請先讓醫生檢查。

Mild redness
輕微泛紅
Some redness at the needle points is normal, and usually settles within an hour or two.
下針的位置有點泛紅是正常的，通常一兩個小時內就會退。
An occasional small bruise
偶爾小瘀青
Now and then a needle leaves a small bruise. It fades within a few days and can be covered with make-up.
偶爾會留下一個小瘀青，幾天內會退，可以用化妝遮蓋。
Back to your day
回到日常
You can go back to work. If you can, keep make-up light and skip saunas or hot yoga for the rest of the day.
可以直接回去上班。當天盡量淡妝，避免三溫暖或熱瑜伽。
Event coming up? Book at least a few days before, in case of a small bruise.
有重要場合？請至少提前幾天預約，預留小瘀青消退的時間。

No needles. Slow, light strokes with a smooth tool — a gentle place to start. About 45 minutes.

About facial acupuncture
Does facial acupuncture hurt?面部針灸會痛嗎？
Most people feel a brief pinch at some points and nothing at others. The needles are very fine, far finer than those used for injections or blood tests. Tell your practitioner if anything feels uncomfortable and they will adjust.
多數人在某些穴位會有短暫刺感，有些則沒感覺。針非常細，比打針、抽血用的細很多。如果有任何不舒服，告訴醫師，會即時調整。
Will I bruise?會瘀青嗎？
Occasionally. The face has many small blood vessels, so a small bruise can appear now and then. It usually fades within a few days. Bruising is more likely if you take blood thinners, so please tell us.
偶爾會。臉上的小血管很多，偶爾會出現小瘀青，通常幾天內會退。如果有服用抗凝血藥，比較容易瘀青，請先告訴我們。
Can I go back to work afterwards?做完可以直接上班嗎？
Yes. There may be some redness for an hour or two. Keep make-up light for the rest of the day if you can.
可以。可能會泛紅一兩個小時。當天盡量淡妝。
How often should I come?多久做一次？
It depends on what you are coming for. After the first session your practitioner will suggest a rhythm, and you review it together as you go, rather than committing to a fixed number upfront.
看你為什麼而來。第一次療程後，醫師會建議一個節奏，之後一起邊做邊調整，不需要一開始就定好次數。
Can I have facial acupuncture while pregnant?懷孕可以做面部針灸嗎？
Please tell us before you book. Some acupuncture points are avoided during pregnancy, and your practitioner will advise whether to go ahead and how.
預約前請先告訴我們。懷孕期間有些穴位需要避開，醫師會評估是否適合、怎麼做。
I have an event coming up. When should I book?有重要場合，什麼時候預約比較好？
At least a few days before, so any small bruise has time to fade. If it is your first session, a week or more ahead is safer.
至少提前幾天，讓可能出現的小瘀青有時間消退。如果是第一次做，提前一週以上比較保險。
Can I combine it with other treatments?可以跟其他療程一起做嗎？
Yes. Some people pair facial acupuncture with body acupuncture or herbal medicine, depending on what the consultation shows. Facial acupuncture is also part of the Trio Radiance facial, together with gua sha and face cupping.
可以。有些人會依問診情況，搭配身體針灸或中藥。面部針灸也是煥膚療程的一部分，與刮痧、面部拔罐一起做。
